Though I never mentioned him by name, I felt I should redress my outburst against VANOC generally with an acknowledgement of all the good the man who ran that organization represented.

I regret to have to point out that you apology to Jack Poole, who was indeed an outstanding citizen and community leader, was tendered some weeks too late.

Mr. Poole, who was chair of VANOC’s board, unfortunately passed away some weeks ago after a valient battle with a long terminal illness.
